P&O Heritage Collection

The Peninsular and Oriental Navigation Company, better known as P&O, dates back to 1837 when their first ship set sail for distant shores. Since then, the company has collected hundreds of thousands of items from around the globe. These include posters, postcards, photographs, paintings and much more. The new P&O heritage website gives the public access to this unique legacy.

Lemberg was the technical developer for this exciting project. We provided a solution based on a Content Management System to make the system simple and user friendly for our customers. The site is driven by N2CMS, a state of the art CMS solution for Windows servers based on the ASP.NET MVC framework. A collection database using the leading MIMSY museum collection management software contains thousands of images, pdf files and other media.
