After the load screen, which contains the name of the Institution and a customisable background image, users get redirected to the News Feeds page, where one can see the latest updates in the life of the institution, as well as their fellow alumni. All of the social media feeds from across the institution are displayed on this simple screen.

For instance, on the photos screen, one can see the latest pics from different events, as well as photos of their friends, RSVPs, memberships and other things.

Customize News Feeds

This screen allows users to turn off or on social media feeds on their mobile devices, thus filtering their feeds so as to receive only the relevant information. However, the Features (feedback forms, polls, etc) always remain active.]

Feedback form

The Features screen contains various ads and announcements that may be of interest to the user. It may contain a variety of things, from graduation ceremony news to job announcements and many more.

Submit Contact Details

On the Feedback form, the user can share updates on their status like current address etc.

Poll Feature

The Polls screen allows users to participate in various surveys.

Review Poll Results

This feature enables users to see the results of the various polls and surveys.

Topics

Valuable for each and every user will be a large variety of articles addressing day-to-day topics such as auto, etiquette, housing, and many more. The Topics Menu page contains useful information on daily topics.

Specific Topic

After selecting a specific topic, the user gets redirected to what a specific topic screen contains - text, images, humorous stories from real life etc.

Tips

There are useful tips related to every topic, you can view them on this screen. The institution can also provide so-called ‘pocket guides’ that are customised so as to match its branding. The guides provide concise tips on lots of things from HMOs to dinner etiquette to menu etc.

Glossary

This is a specific topic-related screen that can shed light on some confusing vocabulary related to this or that topic, e.g. peculiar apartment-related lingo, in an user-friendly format.

However, if after all you have come through a term the exact meaning of which you aren’t sure of, this screen allows you to type it in and brush up on your knowledge.

Resources

Resources are ads that are related to the topics the user has given preference to. The number of resources is the same as the number of topics, as they are distributed one resource per topic. They are displayed at bottom of the topic text and on the Resource tab.

The users of the application can share their experience of using this application in social networks like Facebook, Twitter, etc.
