Turkish online charity platform C@arma is one of Lemberg`s ongoing projects.
Main purpose of this great platform is engaging society in the personal transformation process by raising awareness on the issues of democracy, human rights and respect for cultural differences and mechanisms for access to justice. For this purpose C@arma organizes various training programs as well as local and national dissemination trainings programs, small-scale democracy and rights audits and board game designs that can raise awareness on the above issues while entertaining.
The very website, on which Lemberg`s team actually has the privilege of working, provides C@rma with networking, promotional and management tools for organizations and individuals engaged in their initiative. It allows registered users to donate (support financially) and volunteer for chosen projects (“Lend” and “Pledge” features are coming soon).
Social media features like live twitter feed, social media sharing, video uploading etc., were integrated into a website that helps C@arma increase interpersonal interactions, engagement and awareness on the whole. Admin management system helps to easily manage, edit and track project statuses, information about donators and volonteers and payments, as well as export the data for the statistical analysis.
As for the available payment options, C@rma supports bank and PayPay payments so far. Since existing Drupal modules don’t fit into C@rma business model, Lemberg has implemented custom PayPal integration for the platform.
This way, the C@rma platform solves the problem of connecting non-governmental organisations and corporate organisations (businesses) that are willing to support them.
The platform has a wide range of future improvements that Lemberg will take care of, so stay tuned for new stories!
